- THE ADVENTURES OF THE T’CHA FISH
Written and Narrated by Meg Langford
Once upon a time, there was a little girl who dreamed of being a fish. So deeply did she dream she might become a fish that one day, when she was standing by the water, she dove in and WHOOSHIE!!!—she turned into a fish. A fish-wish come true! But our little fish soon discovered that life in the water is not so easy, and so she began to dream that she might be turned back into a little girl again, and return to her family, whom she so loved and missed. If only she could find that enchanted spot where she first dove into the water and turned into a fish! But getting what you want is not always such an easy thing, and on her way to finding that mysterious place where she dove into the water, our little fish was to have many Grand Adventures. On her first fish scare, she meets Reedy Johnson, the clarinet playing-Penguin, and she talks him out of eating her for lunch. She soon learns that Reedy Johnson was once a jazz musician in New Orleans, and he is also traveling under a spell, trying to figure out how to break the gypsy’s curse that turned him into a penguin. It is Reedy Johnson who, after watching her sing and dance, dubs her “T’cha Fish!” Together, on their journeys, T’cha Fish and Reedy Johnson meet many creatures: Noah Shark, Lobster Mobster, Peanut Butter and Jelly Fish, Stella the Starfish, Biscuit the Seahorse, the Island-bound Stress Monkey, and lots of little Sea Pixies. T’cha Fish cannot help but notice that each of these creatures has something rather “unusual” about them. And each of them is searching for something. . .something very special! Come along with them, as each has a Special Adventure to call their own. You never had so much fun in the water! Trouble and Bubbles abound!

- A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME
Harvey is a well-meaning ne’er do well who finds himself assigned to public service in the Glendale Senior Citizens Home, after he is arrested for breaking the car window of the richest man in town while rescuing a puppy who is suffocating in the summer swelter. Ken, by contrast, is a college overachiever who finds himself spending a semester at Glendale as part of a sociology internship. Third in the triangle is the elderly, elegant Elvira Callahan Peachtree, who befriends the young men by regaling them with stories of her colorful and sometimes scandalous past. Harvey brings life to the old folks’ home, where before there was only depression and death.
For Elvira’s whirlwind romance and engagement to the dignified sexagenarian Jasper Rollins, Harvey arranges to sneak in a hunky Chippendale’s male stripper for the groping granddames at the bridal shower. For the ancient patient with the arthritic hands who will not squeeze Nurse Prichards’ blue (exercise) balls, Harvey sneaks in a stray kitten for the old man to pet. For cynical, senile Artie Stern, Harvey hunts down one of Artie’s old clients, a well-preserved stripper who brings new life to the old man. The cornerstone of the story, however, are the tales of Elvira’s wild and wonderful past that she spins out for Harvey and Ken every night. And as Elvira and Harvey grow closer and closer, we wonder if Harvey is actually her first love, his spirit back from the grave to take care of his beloved Elvira in her twilight years. The mystery deeply engages Ken, as well, who is profoundly changed by all these strange and dreamy goings-on, and ready to believe things that he can no longer explain. . .
